Heather Juniors Football Club Commitment to young players

Heather Juniors Football Club is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of all children that play for the club. The Club insists on very high standards and expects that all its staff, players, volunteers, and visitors to the site share our commitment to our young players at all times. All our staff members and coaches at Heather Juniors have a current FA DBS check.

The Club believes that its staff, players, volunteers, and visitors have a moral obligation to report any concerns about an a child at risk to the Club. (See Committee Members page for welfare officers)


Heather Juniors Football Club is committed to ensuring that:


1. The safety and welfare of children under the Club’s care is of paramount importance.
2. All children at risk who are involved with Heather Juniors Football Club regardless of age, gender, language, culture, social background, disability, racial origin, religious beliefs and/or sexual identity have the right to safety and protection from abuse or harm in any form.
3. All suspicions reports, and/or allegations of abuse will be treated seriously and will be thoroughly investigated, which may involve the appropriate local authority where required.

Furthermore, the Club would also strongly encourage anyone with an allegation or concerns regarding welfare to contact our Welfare Officers in the first instance or report it to the NSPCC / FA Helpline on 0808 800 5000 or by emailing help@nspcc.org.uk and to the police, where specially trained staff will be able to provide advice and guidance.
